Pentacost Sunday and I’m breaking my rule about
participating in the service. I agreed to read the lessons. This is not a serious
breach and I don’t want any expectations to arise that I will do it again. Back
in the 25 years of regular participation, I felt I lost the meaning of the
service by the duties I took on. I was busier with the business of the church than
of the magic of the Eurcharist service.
