Today is the ice-cream party for Hollie’s class to
celebrate the end of state testing. She says she will never have to torture
children with the tests again. Her excitement about retiring from teaching is
getting to the place where it is difficult to contain. It’s a good thing to
know when to leave any relationship when it’s over. It’s good to go before it becomes
a burden that leaves such discomfort that the good memories are gone.
